Can pictures give hope?

RaghavanMentee: Can you tell me why this website has so many pictures of Mr. Raghavan?

Mentor (smilingly): He has done so to inspire many.

Mentee: Can you explain how?

Mentor: Raghavan told me of a real incident, which happened in the late 70's, when he was doing his Chartered Accountancy course. It seems one day, his Company Law teacher jovially told the students, "Whenever you are scared about the C.A. examinations, do one simple thing. Take the picture of your auditor (senior) and ask the question, If this fellow can pass C.A., why not I? You will no longer be scared?.

Mentee (smilingly): What is the analogy?

Mentor: Raghavan says anyone can look at his pictures and ask the question, "If this fellow can become successful, why not I?" That is why he has put many pictures of his in this website.

Secret of long marriage

Married Couple

Mentee: You have come back from a function and you are smiling. May I know the reason?

Mentor:
I just attended the twenty-fifth wedding anniversary function of my friend and he revealed a great secret about his long married life.

Mentee: What is that? I will share this to all my friends and relatives.

Mentor: My friend told me that he always has the last word at home.

Mentee: That means he has such a command over his wife.

Mentor (smilingly): I have not told you fully. My friend's last word always is, 'Yes'. That is the best last word I ever heard.

Enlightened Raghavan

Enlightened RaghavanMentee: Raghavan an enlightened person?

Mentor: Definitely in one sense.

Mentee: What is that?

Mentor: He truly reflects things. Whenever any light falls on him, his bald head sincerely catches the light and starts reflecting the light. It benefits others also.

Mentee: How is that?

Mentor: Not only he gets 'enlightened' but also 'enlightens' others.

Mentee: That means he has converted an apparent disadvantage to an advantage?

Mentor: Yes, thanks to his baldness and to the light falling on him.

Once More

Young girl singingMentor: Yes, Raghavan will be covering that in one of the e-books. You know something; I enjoy a few humorous incidents relating to music.

Mentee: Can you share one such incident?

Mentor: It seems a young girl, learning music was asked to sing before a small audience and after she sang, the audience told, 'once more'. The girl felt thrilled and rendered the song once more. She came back home with a lot of pride. (The Mentor keeps laughing unable to narrate the incident fully).

Mentee: I am not able to understand the humour part of this incident. Why are you having a hearty laughter?

Mentor (trying to control the laughter): It seems the girl's brother told her that the audience told her to sing once more not because she sang well the first time but because they hoped that at least the second time she will sing properly.

Mentee: This is too good and excellent sense of humour.

Nickname

Nickname of ChameleonMentor: Without a shadow of doubt, yes. But in lighter vain, I will narrate an incident that took place at his school about 45 years back.

Mentee: Please go ahead.

Mentor: In the school Raghavan studied, his father also had studied. Even in the days when Raghavan's father studied, every teacher was nicknamed. So the nicknames of the teachers were passed on by the seniors to the juniors without fail.

Mentee: My God, it is too much.

Mentor: One day a teacher, by the nickname of Chameleon, told one of his students, 'Ask your father to meet me tomorrow'. The student went home and told his father, 'Tomorrow you need to meet Chameleon'. (The Mentor bursts into non-stop-laughter for five minutes).

Mentee: Even you are not able to control your laughter.

Mentor (recovering from the laughter): When the father reached the school the next morning, he realized that he had not got the real name of the teacher. He went and asked a teacher, "Please don't mistake. Can you please show me who is Chameleon?" It seemed the teacher replied, "You are already standing before that Chameleon". The Mentee starts laughing.

Mentor: Please view this incident only from the lighter side of life. I need not tell you that teachers are to be respected as they play a great role in building our nation by laying a great foundation for their students.
